The Asteroid Goddess - Reawakening the Divine Feminine
During the last few decades the imbalance of patriarchy has been virtually challenged in every realm, the resurgence of feminine energies is spilling through our world, dismantling every male oriented oligarchy. The 19th century arrival of the asteroids reawakened the expression feminine power and once again, allowed for the wisdom of the goddess to be available to our consciousness. The 24 Asteroid Goddesses are the main belt of asteroids and measure around 144 miles. Their wisdom revels in ancient knowledge, divination, healing, natural cycles, the intelligence of inner life and the inclusive archetype of the feminine soul.
Not until the woman’s movement of the 1970’s did astrologer’s begin to take note of these new bodies and begin to experiment with their archetypes  In 1973, the first four discoveries of asteroids -  Ceres, Juno, Vesta and Pallas Athena were all prominent in Greek myth, and their cults predated their male counterpart. Each of the four is considered a package of symbolism, a facet of what is the whole Archetypal Feminine Principle; one that is expected to restore a particular aspect of wisdom that has been missing for around 5,000 years.
The discovery of the asteroids had weaved renewed images of the feminine through the astrological tapestry. Previously, the lineage of feminine traditions were represented by the Venus and the Moon, suggesting only two socially accepted roles for women; the lunar mother or the Venusian. With the presence of the asteroids, comes the rediscovery and cultural reclamation of feminine power, and the ancient feminine wisdom of the goddess was bought to consciousness. the awakening force that had been hidden.
The maxim ‘as above, so below’ underpins the philosophy of astrology. Inner and outer lives are woven together through investing the celestial sphere with meaning. Therefore when astronomical discoveries are made astrologers find new meaning and revelation in them. Astrological tradition suggests that with the major discovery of a planet the collective is confronted with the conscious awakening of an archetypal force that may have previously lain dormant or been repressed.
The asteroids are surrogates of the goddesses and invest life with mystery, imagination, and the sacred inner life. All women, were born into the world at a transitional time. All women, of this time have been chosen as a part of the ‘transitional team’, a time where it is believed the feminine has provided them with more energy, and more resources to build a new world paradigm. These energies don’t just redirect and define women; they redefine everyone, and such a transition is mystical, magical and enlightening.
This divine energy of wisdom is guiding us to bring something very different into the world than what we are seeing. This means, whether the women of this time signed up for it or not - they will be revolutionary; whether they are a teacher, a nurse, a writer, mother or an accountant. The divine only asks that you do not stop the things you most want to express, if you let them flow forth, your revolutionary work is done, and it is done beautifully.  The Great Goddess and has returned to reconnect us back to her culture. Investing us with  imagination, mystery, inspiring ritual and sacrifice to reconnect to the treasures of her magical forces.

an instrument

flowarts enhances and actualizes your learning process, you should really try it, there are many different tools such as poi, staff, ropedart, torches, fans, nunchaku, etc

it accelerates and enhances your physical and mental capabilities

oh yeah, this is also a practice tool for when I ‘play’ with it on fire and do this with actual fire props

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Senegal, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria, Chad, Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Djibouti. Those are the countries. It will be drought-resistant species, mostly acacias. And this is a fucking brilliant idea you have no idea oh my Christ
This will create so many jobs and regenerate so many communities and aaaaaahhhhhhh

more info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Green_Wall
it’s already happening, and already having positive effects. this is wonderful, why have i not heard of this before? i’m so happy!

Oh yes, acacia trees.
They fix nitrogen and improve soil quality.
And, to make things fun, the species they’re using practices “reverse leaf phenology.” The trees go dormant in the rainy season and then grow their leaves again in the dry season. This means you can plant crops under the trees, in that nitrogen-rich soil, and the trees don’t compete for light because they don’t have any leaves on.
And then in the dry season, you harvest the leaves and feed them to your cows.
Crops grown under acacia trees have better yield than those grown without them. Considerably better.
So, this isn’t just about stopping the advancement of the Sahara - it’s also about improving food security for the entire sub-Saharan belt and possibly reclaiming some of the desert as productive land.
Of course, before the “green revolution,” the farmers knew to plant acacia trees - it’s a traditional practice that they were convinced to abandon in favor of “more reliable” artificial fertilizers (that caused soil degradation, soil erosion, etc).
This is why you listen to the people who, you know, have lived with and on land for centuries.

THIS is an incredible display of human knowledge and ingenuity.
